McBride’s Camp – Wilderness Retreat on the Kafue
Nestled on a remote tree island at the meeting point of the Kafue and Mushingashi rivers, McBride’s Camp offers a true escape into Zambia’s wild heart. With just seven thatched chalets—each featuring private open-air bathrooms, mosquito nets, and stunning river or dambo views—guests experience authentic bush comfort in an untouched landscape with no nearby roads or lodges. The communal boma, lounge, and dining areas overlook the water, providing frequent sightings of hippos, elephants, crocodiles, and abundant birdlife.
