Ker & Downey Zambia’s King Lewanika Lodge is set in Liuwa Plain National Park, a vast 3,369 km² wilderness celebrated as one of Zambia’s finest grassland safari destinations.
Built on the edge of a rare ancient woodland, the lodge overlooks the endless open plains and offers an exceptional setting to witness Africa’s second-largest wildebeest migration, along with Liuwa’s rich variety of wildlife.
Its award-winning design captures the golden beauty of the plains from every angle, while the spacious open-fronted lounge and dining area create a deep sense of connection with one of Africa’s last truly wild landscapes.
King Lewanika Lodge offers five luxury tents and one family tent, hosting up to 15 guests. Open from March to December, each tent features a private veranda, outdoor shower, and sweeping views over Liuwa Plain. Access is easy via flights to Matiamanene Airstrip, just six minutes from camp.
